Shajarian, Pournazeri join ‘Fascinated by Love’

Iranian feature on Rumi ‘Fascinated by Love’ has decided on its music production team.

Iranian vocalist Homayoun Shajarian will be accompanied by Iranian musician Sohrab Pournazeri to create the score for Hassan Fathi’s latest cinematic production.

The musical duo has already collaborated on a number of popular projects such as the concert theater ‘Si’ (Thirty). They have also made several music albums including ‘Subdued’.

The film, which is at the pre-production stage, has already picked a number of its cast members.

The Iranian stars who have joined the project are Parsa Pirouzfar, Shahab Hosseini and Hessam Manzour. Some Turkish actors including Ibrahim Celikol and Hande Ercel to play parts in the film have also been taken on.  

‘Fascinated by Love’ focuses on Rumi and his spiritual leader, Shams Tabrizi’s life in the Turkish city of Konya.

The screenplay of the film has been developed by Fathi and Farhad Tohidi.
